Stanis Benjamin

Master Facilitator and Distinguished Toastmaster, Stanis Benjamin is a motivational humorist and an accomplished speaker, consultant and trainer in the fields of business presentation skills, communication, sales, customer service, Leadership and strategies for personal success.

As a coach, consultant and keynote speaker, he has addressed many companies and institutions and has helped senior executives, high-achieving professionals and beginners to reach higher levels of performance.

Stanis is a thought leader on how to create and sustain high performance; he combines theory with management practices to develop action-oriented techniques for building winning teams. He has been invited as an expert to speak on the topics “Behaviour Focused Communication” and “Humour in Presentations” on radio and has presented on Positive Business Minutes for Singapore’s News Radio 93.8.

An accredited Coach, Leadership Facilitator and Personal Effectiveness Trainer and facilitator, Stanis has conducted numerous Train the Trainer courses in Sales, Communication and Leadership. He has completed the Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment with the Singapore Training and Development Association. He has gained excellent reputation for his work with human resource and training departments of numerous organisations to design and develop Personal Effectiveness, Leadership and Communication training programs.

He has written several articles on Communication, which has been published by The Coverage magazine of the Life Underwriters Association. Stanis is the Pan South East Asian "Humorous Speech" champion, and the 1st Runner-Up at the "International Speech Contest". Apart from his personal accolades in public speaking, he is an extraordinary coach and leader in that field, underlined by his achievement in bringing the Life Underwriter’s Association Toastmasters Club to be the Toastmasters International “World No 1 Club”, during his tenure as Vice President Education. As President, the LUA Club was awarded the President Distinguish Award. He was awarded the "Outstanding Toastmaster of the Year" by the Life Underwriters Toastmasters Club. He has served as a Division Governor with Toastmasters International.

He was one of The Top 10 agents for sales and has achieved the Marathon Life Award, International Quality Award, Million Dollar Club Award as well as the Prestigious Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) and Superstar Sales Awards. He has more than 27 years of Sales and Training experience starting as an agent with American International Assurance and has led a successful sales team as a District Manager.

Michele Lim

Trainer

Michele Lim is a senior management consultant for the arts and non-profit organizations. She has over 19 years of arts management experience and has worked with many of the leading companies in the arts and non-profit arena. Michele provides strategic counsel to companies in the creative industries and non-profit fields to build sustainable business models for the organizations in the areas of communications & marketing; outreach & education, management structures and people development.

Her experience covers the entire spectrum of arts management from publicity, marketing, management, operations, events management to editorial. Formerly the General Manager of TheatreWorks, she has since worked with internationally renowned companies in the creative industries such as Singapore Dance Theatre, Bell Shakespeare Company, Really Useful Company, Esplanade-Theatres on the Bay, The Arts House, Practice Performing Arts School and the Brisbane Powerhouse, including government agencies and educational institutions Public Utilities Board, National Archives (Oral History Centre), Singapore Biennale, NUS Centre for the Arts and the Republic Cultural Centre.

 

She has knowledge and experience in organizational, branding and marketing management areas in the creative, community services and education sectors. She has cross-functional experience in varied creative business structures and industries from dance (education), crafts (franchise industry), visual arts (outreach, education and funding for public artworks), environment (youth education and advocacy), social services (management and communications), food & beverages (marketing communications and management) and education (strategic planning).

She also teaches part-time at the La Salle SIA College for the Arts (Performing Arts Faculty) and the Singapore Polytechnic (Applied Drama and Psychology Department). Michele is involved in the development of the arts and education in Singapore since 1993. She is the founding member, immediate Past President and is now the Treasurer of the Singapore Drama Educators Association; was advisor to the Technical Theatre Association of Singapore during its founding years. She is a member of the following professional organizations - Institute of Public Relations of Singapore, Marketing Institute of Singapore and Singapore Human Resource Institute. She has sat on the Board of the Asian Women’s Welfare Association (AWWA) ; and is currently on the management committee for FaithActs Seniors.

She is the advisor to the RGPS Parent Volunteer Group and was on the School Advisory Committee of Raffles Girls Primary School. Michele is currently a member of the National Arts Council Arts Resource Panel, the NAC AEP Assessment Panel for Theatre and Literature Programmes and the NAC NAEA Assessment Panel. Michele graduated from National University of Singapore with LLB (Law) in 1988.

Freddie Yap Eng Yong

LTC (VOL) & Trainer

LTC (VOL) Freddie Yap Eng Yong is an accomplished speaker, consultant and trainer in the fields of presentation skills and communication.

Freddie Yap has been in the forefront of the quality movement in the government since early 1981 when even NPB had not started QCC then. He gave invaluable assistance to the Civil Service Institute at that time to help them begin their WITS training and also did some of the training himself. He also trained and helped with the development of WITS in the Army, Navy and Air Force, although he himself was from the Air Force. To date, he has trained thousands of participants in WITS and QC, both in the public and private sectors. From his vast experience in actually starting and managing WITS in the government, Freddie was nominated to lead a Tripartite QCC Study Mission to Japan and Korea in 1983 and was also awarded the Outstanding QCC Facilitator Award by NPB in 1985. He wrote the first-ever locally produced QCC book in 1984, which has seen sales of over 15,000 through to its fourth edition.

He has worked for other governments in their quality improvement programmes through the Asian Productivity Organization (APO), and completed two projects for both the Philippine and Indonesian Governments some years ago. Recently, he was consultant to the Mauritius Government and helped them plan and implement their public service improvement efforts equivalent to our PS21, and together with one of their government ministers, launched their PSIE Programme (Public Service Initiative for Excellence) in Apr 1999.

He trains with a wealth of experience in the public service and knows how to exert his influence with his participants in the most humorous way.

Freddie has worked with well over 240 clients in 10 countries, including Singapore, training in about 38 different types of courses. He was registered as an associate consultant with NPB from 1989 to 1991. He was also licensed with NPB to conduct COSEC courses, and is now jointly licensed to conduct CREST programmes with SIA. He is a fellow certified management consultant registered with the Institute of Management Consultants, Singapore, and is also the founder member with the institute. Freddie is a licensed trainer for the Relationship Awareness Programme for using the Strength Deployment Inventory. He conducts his lessons with very high energy and impact, and his enthusiasm always carries him well with his participants.

There are many trainers for QC and WITS in Singapore, but few can match the experience and enthusiasm of Freddie in this field. Mr. Lim Siong Guan, the former PS to MINDEF and the Prime Minister’s Office and Head of Civil Service, can testify to Freddie’s capability in WITS and other public service quality programmes, as Freddie has worked for him in the past.

Suganthi Shivkumar

Master Facilitator and Distinguished Moderator of Panel Discussions, Suganthi Shivkumar is a motivational coach, and an accomplished speaker, consultant and trainer in the fields of effective sales processes, sales transformation programs, business presentation skills, communication, customer service, effective team building, leadership and strategies for personal success.

Suganthi Shivkumar is a Certified Public Accountant (Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Singapore). She has extensive experience in Auditing with KPMG Peat Marwick ( as it was then called) and then running the Accounting and Finance department of a rig and shipbuilding arm of SembCorp.

Suganthi has exemplary feedback as a Lecturer in the School of Business Management at Nanyang Polytechnic where she taught Financial and Cost Accounting to Business and Engineering students as well as Business Communication and Business Etiquette to graduating students. Given her strong training background, she started off as a software trainer and trained internal staff, clients and business partners to use financial consolidation, strategic and operational planning, and analytics software to resolve complex business challenges.

She was an award winning regional trainer for Hyperion Software Asia and helped start up the business in Australia , Hong Kong, India and South East Asia. She enjoyed a very fast and progressive career with Hyperion where she grew into Asia’s Top Sales Person, Asia’s Top Regional Sales Director and Top Regional Managing Director .

Suganthi has wide and deep exposure to working in cross cultural environments. She is an articulate communicator and has worked extensively in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, India, Hong Kong , Australia. She is very comfortable and skilled in C level communication, negotiation, objection handling, pipeline management, driving complex sales processes, sales cadence, team building and team management and creating success with high performance teams .

Suganthi is fanatic about training and enabling her teams, partners and ecosystem . She is also a very well regarded mentor and coach to several highly successful sales people. Charles Tai

Trainer

Charles Lim is and an accomplished consultant and a highly effective trainer/facilitator conducting communication, sales as well as leadership training.

Charles started his career with the Republic of Singapore Air Forces as a Flight Engineer and has served the United States Army National Guard for five years. In his tour as a career Flight Engineer, he has also participated in the humanitarian assistance during the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami and the 2005 Hurricane Katrina.

Charles Tai is currently an agency trainer and an associate division head in GPS Alliance pte ltd, a property firm in Singapore listed in the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX). He leads about 20 dynamic agents under his wings and has been a consistent top producer since 2011.

He has since been sharing and imparting his knowledge and expertise in Sales and Property investment, currently having a portfolio of several local and overseas properties.
